We were consulting to a company with a very full office space. This meant that the meeting rooms were at an absolute premium and, inevitably, unavailable when required. After going through the laborious task of trying to find somewhere to have meetings, realising that coffee chains didn’t provide sufficient privacy or peace and quiet; we stumbled across a pub that was prepared to allow us to use a private dining/party area. We had space for our meeting and they had a use for an underutilised area, along with an extra market for coffee and nibbles. This was the start of Space Exchange.
